Glamping

Glamping is a type of Camping that is more comfortable and luxurious than traditional Camping. The word is a mixture of 'glamorous' and 'camping'. Our Shimla glamp provides all the fun and outdoor lifestyle of camping with just a little more luxury.

Activities:

Navigation Trek with Map reading, Bush Craft, Double Rope Crossing, Burma Bridge, Bamboo Bridge, Rappelling, Treasure Hunt, Life skills like tent pitching and self cooking, trek to Indian Institute of Advance Studies, Bonfire and visit to Shimla town.

Accommodation:

Separate accommodation for boys and girls will be in deluxe eco huts on 4-6 sharing basis for students and on 4 sharing basis for families. All Eco huts have attached toilets & bathrooms and electricity.

Mobile Phones:

Are allowed but not during camp activities.

Please Carry:

Six pairs of comfortable clothes, night dress, shorts, sweater, jacket, raincoat, bath towel, sports shoes, socks, sandals/floaters, woolen cap, woolen socks, leather gloves, sunglasses, air-pillow, water bottle, torch, daypack, folding umbrella and toiletries (soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, sunscreen, cold cream, lip balm etc.). Also carry an original photo ID proof. The participants may have to pay fine, wherever applicable in the absence of original photo ID.

All The Items: mentioned should preferably be packed in a rucksack that is easier to carry. Please do not bring any disposable items, ornaments and other valuables. Binoculars and camera are optional.

Food:

Wholesome and hygienic vegetarian food will be served, including breakfast, lunch and dinner even during the journey. Special Jain / Swaminarayan food is also served if mentioned in the application form.

Certificate:

A specially designed certificate will be issued to students who participate in all the activities & abide by all the Camp rules.

Medical Facilities: in the form of  First aid would be available throughout the programme. All emergencies would be treated by the nearest available doctor/medical facility. If any participant/s needs to be taken to a clinic or hospital, they will be responsible for covering the doctor's fee, medical expenses, transport charges, and any other related costs.

Itinerary

Depart from Sabarmati (BG) for Delhi by 3 AC train in the evening.

Arrive Delhi in the morning and leave for Shimla Campsite by luxury bus/Tempo travellers.  Arrive Campsite in the evening. Basic instructions & room allotment.

Orientation meeting, breakfast and introduction to the flora & fauna of the surroundings through an acclimatisation walk around the campsite and survival activities like self-cooking and tent pitching in the morning.  High rope activities like Double rope crossing, Burma bridge and Bamboo bridge after lunch.

Start the day with an exciting Rappelling activity in the morning, offering a thrilling experience and a chance to build confidence. In the evening, engage in Tree Jumaring, a fun and challenging activity, followed by group games to foster team spirit and solidarity.

Embark on a long trek to the historic Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, also known as the Viceregal Lodge, where the Shimla Agreement was signed. Enjoy a packed lunch during the trek. Spend the evening exploring Shimla town to shop and experience the local vibe.

Begin the day with a bushcraft session, learning essential outdoor survival skills. In the evening, participate in a treasure hunt and a navigation trek using map-reading techniques, culminating with a feedback session and a group photograph to capture the memorable moments of the camp.

Depart for Chandigarh after breakfast. Arrive Chandigarh in the afternoon and depart for Sabarmati (BG) by 3 Ac train in the evening.

Costing

Charges:

Charges are inclusive of accomodation, travelling from Vadodara / Ahmedabad (by different modes), food, activities and GST. 

From Ahmedabad by 3AC Train Journey Regular Coach 

Rs.26,200/- For Students (11-22 yrs)

Rs.28,200/- For Others (Above 22 yrs)

Rs.23,200/- For Child with Family (5 to 10 yrs)


Registration:

Registration: Please fill up the registration form and pay an advance of Rs. 10000/-  to confirm your booking along with a photocopy of your photo ID. The balance payment should reach our office at least 30 days before the commencement of the journey. Reservation is done on first come first served basis. Railway reservation will depend on the availability of tickets.
Cheques, NEFT/RTGS should be in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED, payable at Vadodara only. 

A batch in any programme is subject to cancellation if the total numbers of participants is below 20.


Cancellation Charges:

Minimum : @10%

Between 30 & 15 days : @25%

Between 14 & 8 days : @50%

Last 7 days : No Refund

  • Cancellation charges will be applicable on total Program cost.

  • Please note that the booking is not transferable.

  • Please bring original receipt for claiming the refund.

In case of Government Lockdownbecause of Covid, the cancellation charges would be only Rs.1,000/-. Rest of the amount will be refunded. For any other reason, the regular cancellation policy will be applied.
