Chopta: At an altitude of 8790 ft, it is an untouched hamlet lying in Uttarakhand and offers views of the majestic & breath taking Himalayan range including Trishul, Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba. Chopta is famous for its undulating green meadows in summers & carpet of snow in winter!

Tungnath:
 At an altitude of 12,073 ft, it is in the mountain range of Tunganath in Rudraprayag district, in Uttarakhand. The Tunganath (literal meaning: Lord of the peaks) mountains form the Mandakini and Alaknanda river valleys.

Deoria Tal:
 At an altitude of 7,999 ft, it is a beautiful lake in Uttarakhand. It has heavily wooded, lush green surroundings with snow-covered mountains in the backdrop. The lake is known for its wide 300° panorama.


Eligibility: for students of age group 14-25 years only.

Activities: Trekking, summitting Chandrashila Peak, Tungnath, Deoria Tal Forest Trail, White Water Rafting and Bridge Slithering and Group Games.

Accommodation: Separate accommodation for boys and girls will be in tents on 3/4 sharing basis. All have electricity and are equipped with cots, mattresses, quilts and have attached western toilets and bathrooms.

Mobile Phones: Are allowed but not during camp activities.

Please Carry: Six pairs of comfortable clothes, heavy woollens, raincoat, bath towel, sports shoes, cotton socks, slippers/floaters, woollen cap, leather gloves, sunglasses, water bag, torch, cap, day-pack, sanitary requisites, pocket diary and pen.

All the Items mentioned should preferably be packed in a rucksack that is easier to carry. Please do not bring plastic/polythene bags or any disposable items, ornaments and other valuables. Binoculars and camera are optional.

Food: Wholesome and hygienic vegetarian food will be served. Jain Food will be available on prior request. Two bottles of drinking water per day will be provided during the train journey.

Please Submit: A Photocopy of the Photo ID proof at the time of registration and the same original Photo ID proof, seven days before departure. The participants may have to pay fine, wherever applicable in the absence of original Photo ID.

Certificate: A specially designed certificate will be issued to students who participate in all the activities & abide by all the Camp rules.

Please Note: Road journey in all the programmes would be in Non Ac vehicles.

DAY 1:            Vadodara to Haridwar by train.
We start our trip today early morning by boarding the train from Vadodara. Overnight journey.
 
DAY 2:            Dehradun / Haridwar to Chopta (2800 M – Drive @ 200Kms/ Drive 6-7 hrs).
We start the journey from Dehradun / Rishikesh and drive through the holy towns of Rishikesh, Devprayag & Rudraprayag following the river Ganga upstream. The drive after Ukhimath is through a beautiful forest of rhododendron trees. Arrive at Chopta Camp by early evening. Tent Allotment, basic orientation followed by dinner and briefing on the next days programme. Night Halt in tents at Chopta.
 
DAY 3:            Chopta – Tungnath (3680 M) – Chandrashila Peak (4000 M) | Trek: 8 Kms 6-7 hrs
It’s a long day today, we start as early as we can in the morning. After breakfast we start the trek with climbing up the slopes of the meadows in Chopta. This extremely scenic hike will take a couple of hours to reach Tungnath temple. After a brief stop for refreshments we trek further to the summit of Chandrashila Peak. The summit offers views of big Himalayan peaks like Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhambha and others. From the summit we descend down to Chopta. Night Halt in tents at Chopta.
 
DAY 4:            Chopta – Deoria Tal (2438 M) : Drive @ 1 hr I Trek 3 kms 5-6 hrs
Post breakfast we drive to Sari Village which is the commencement point of the trek. From here we begin the hike to Deoriatal, a high altitude lake. Spend a couple of hours by this majestic lake, reflecting the Chaukhamba peak in its still waters. Retracing the same route we descent to Sari village and further drive to our camp at Chopta. Night Halt in tents at Chopta.
 
DAY 5:            Chopta – Srinagar – Jayalgarh - Drive @ 100 Kms I 3 Hrs.
After breakfast we will start our journey to Jayalgarh, a riverside camp on the banks of the Alaknanda River. On the way you can stop at the holy prayag at Rudraprayag. Get down at Srinagar and take a White Water Rafting trip to the camp. On way attempt bridge slithering. Lunch at the camp. Evening at leisure.
 
DAY 6:            Jayalgarh – Haridwar Drive @ 120 Kms I 6-7 Hrs.
After breakfast we will start our return journey to Haridwar / Dehradun. On the way you can stop at the holy prayag of Devprayag. By afternoon you shall reach Haridwar and board the return train to proceed to Vadodara.
 
DAY 7:            Arrival Vadodara @ 14:35.

Please fill up registration form and pay an advance of Rs. 10,000/- to confirm your booking along with a photocopy of your photo ID. The balance payment should reach our office at least 30 days before the commencement of the journey. Reservation is done on first come first serve basis.

Cheques or DD should be in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED, payable at VADODARA only.

Cancellation Charges*:
Minimum : @10%
Between 30 & 15 days : @25%
Between 14 & 8 days : @50%

  • Jain food will be provided on demand as per availability.
  • The amount once paid is non transferable.
  • The balance payment is to be paid at least 30 days before the departure of the batch. If balance payment is not made on time it would automatically be considered cancelled without any prior intimation and no refund would be given in this regard.
  • Local Cheque/Demand Draft should be issued in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED. Outstation cheque would not be accepted.
  • Payment against dishonoured cheque/s to be paid in cash with additional charge of Rs.200/- per cheque.
  • No refund will be given in case the participant terminates the tour at any point due to any reason.
  • According to the strength of the group proper vehicle would be arranged and that should be acceptable to all.
  • Participants will have to walk to visit the places that are near to the hotel or where our vehicle cannot reach.
  • Please do not bring valuables in the tour. It will be participant's duty to take care of their own luggage.
  • The organisers shall not be held responsible for loss/theft of the participant’s luggage and belongings.
  • At any point during the tour if any damage is done to the hotel property or bus or at any other point knowingly or unknowingly by any participant the responsible participant will have to bear the total damage charges and will have to settle it on the spot.
  • Tour may be cancelled if there is not enough strength; actual amount paid by the participant towards the trip will be refunded by A/c payee cheque only. No other claims will be entertained.
  • It is the responsibility of participant to collect the necessary travel documents from our office on time. The organisers or any individual connected with it will not be held responsible in case of any accident or any unforeseen calamity.
  • The Company reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking/terminate a passenger on tour in event of unreasonable behaviour at any time.
  • The Company has the right at any time and for any reason to amend, alter, vary or withdraw/substitute a hotel, travel arrangement or independent contractor for the reasons, which may be deemed fit and proper by the Company. The passengers shall have no rights to raise any dispute regarding the same.
  • In case if the tour days increases due to any unforeseen circumstances, the participants will have to pay Rs.400/- per head per day in cash to the tour manager.
  • Outdoors Unlimited has the right to use the participant's name, information and photographs in promotional materials, brochures and press releases.
  • In case if any rescue operation is to be undertaken, it will be charged from the participants on actual basis.
  • In case if the tour is cancelled or abandoned due to any unforeseen circumstances, no refund would be given.
  • Organisers will not be responsible towards any internal disputes arising with fellow participants.
  • We are not bound to provide name, address or any other personal details of other participants.
  • Any claim or complaint by the passenger must be notified to the Company in writing within ten days after the tour completion date. No claim notified to the Company outside this period will be entertained and the Company shall incur no liability in respect thereof.
  • If the passenger has any complaint in respect of services provided by any of the independent contractors, the passenger shall immediately notify the same to the independent contractor and a copy thereof should be handed over to the tour manager, to enable the Company to take up the matter with the independent contractor.
  • The signing of the booking form by the passengers shall mean acceptance in totality of the ‘Terms and Conditions’ contained herein by the passengers. In case of one or more, but not all passengers signing the ‘Booking Form’, it shall be deemed that the others have duly authorized the concerned signing passenger.
  • Disputes, if any, will be subject to jurisdiction of Vadodara courts only.

Disclaimer: While all care will be taken for the safety of the participants, OUTDOORS UNLIMITED, or any individual OR agency connected to it would not be held responsible for any accident or any unforeseen incident. Participants will have to look after their luggage throughout the journey as well as during the camp/tour. Doctor’s certificate would be required if the participant is undergoing any medical treatment, is over-weight or above 60 years.
OUTDOORS UNLIMITED reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking/terminate a participant during the camp/eco-tour in event of unreasonable behaviour in such cases no refund will be given.

 

Reporting

  • Please mark your attendance with the Group Leader as per the mentioned time and date given in the final itinerary.
  • Do not board the Train /Bus without Reporting.
  • Itinerary is only for Parents’ reference, Participants should carry only the lower slip of the Itinerary.


Train Journey

  • Campers should not get down during the train journey at any station.
  • In case of any requirement, the group leader should be informed.
  • Campers are requested not to stand near the Door of the train.
  • Campers should avoid talking to Strangers.


Camp Site

  • Campers will stay in Rooms with attached toilets.
  • There will be separate accommodation for Girls and Boys.
  • Campsite is near Kund, away from the maddening crowd.


Food

  • Wholesome & Hygienic vegetarian Food will be served, including Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner even during the journey.
  • Two bottles of drinking water per day will be provided during the train journey.
  • Special Jain / Swaminarayan food is also served at the campsite if mentioned in the application form.


Toilet & Bathing facilities

  • Each Rooms has attached toilet with Western Commode, Flush & Jet Spray and bathroom with running water.
  • Hot water will be available for Bathing.
  • Please Help to Maintain Proper Hygiene.

Weather

  • Usually the mornings, evenings and nights are cold and afternoons are moderate.
  • The Weather in the Himalayas is very unpredictable. It is advisable to carry enough woolens & Rain coat.
  • Safety & Discipline
  • The campers will be escorted by trained group leaders from Ahmedabad to the campsite & back.
  • There will be at least one female group leader in each batch.
  • Apart from these group leaders there will be enough people to look after them at the campsite.
  • All the adventure activities are done under the supervision of professional instructors and with all safety measures.
  • The campsite is a safe place & we have an excellent rapport with the local people.
  • We are very strict with ourselves and campers. For safety reasons, the campers are not allowed to go out of the campsite without escorts.


Communication

  • Cell Phones are allowed but not during Camp activities.
  • Parents will be updated about the whereabouts of the campers via SMS every day.
  • Same updates can also be checked on our website, in case you may not receive SMS due to any technical problem.
  • Our Camp Incharge will be constantly in touch with ANALA office, so in case of any inquiry, you may contact our office on 079-26442289 or 079 26561359 (10:30 am to 08:00 pm.).


Emergency

  • In case of an emergency, Parents may contact us on 09662299016/21 (08 pm to 10:30 am.)
  • First – Aid kit will be available with the group leader throughout the programme.
  • Please give motion sickness medicine and their regular medicines if any.
  • There is a doctor on call facility available for any medical emergency.


Photographs

  • We will click Photographs of the participants & the same can be viewed and downloaded from our website on daily basis after 9:30 pm. Please go to Our Home Page, Click on Gallery - Photos – Shimla (respective batch no).
  • Photographs can also be viewed and shared from our face book page. Visit www.facebook.com/analaoutdoors and click on like.
  • Things to be carried
  • A list of things to be carried is given in the brochure. Bring all the things accordingly.
  • Day-Pack, Water Bottle, Sports Shoes with proper grip and Warm Clothes are essential. Sleeping material will be provided at the campsite.
  • Campers will carry their own luggage in an easy to carry Rucksack.
  • Carry sleeping material for Non Ac train journey.
  • Please Tag all the belongings of the campers.


How Much Money

  • As such our charges include everything; still they may require some extra money for Shopping / Refreshments.
  • Give only as much as they can handle.


Please Note

  • Please submit an original Photo ID proof of the participant at least 1 week before the departure.
  • The participants may have to pay the fine, wherever applicable in the absence of original Photo ID.
  • Though proper care of the entire luggage is taken, we will not be responsible for any lost or damaged items.
  • We have a system of “Lost & Found” at the campsite.
  • Please pay the balance payment 30 days before the departure.
  • If you have not filled up the application form, do it at the earliest. The participant will not be allowed to indulge in any activity if the application form is not submitted.
  • The form contains space for special remarks from your side like sleep walking, allergy etc.
  • If you have not mentioned, please fill it up at least 7 days before the departure.

  • A Specially designed certificate would be issued to all those campers who complete all the activities and abide by the Camp discipline.
