Eligibility: Open for all

Activities: Navigation trekking through map reading, Bush Craft, Double Rope Crossing, Burma Bridge, Rappelling, Treasure Hunt, Group games and Campfire. Visit to Kufri Zoo & Shimla Town.

Accommodation: Seperate accommodation for boys & girls will be in Eco huts on 4-5 shraing basis for students and  on 4 sharing basis for families. All Eco huts have attached toilets & bathrooms and electricity. 

Please Carry: Four pairs of comfortable clothes, heavy woollens, raincoat, towel, sports shoes, cotton socks, slippers, torch, cap, water bag, day pack and sanitary requisites.

All the Items mentioned should preferably be packed in a rucksack that is easier to carry. Please do not bring plastic/polythene bags or any disposable items, ornaments and other valuables. Binoculars and camera are optional.

Certificate: A specially designed certificate will be issued to students who participate in all the activities & abide by all the Camp rules.

Food: Wholesome and hygienic vegetarian food will be served. Jain food will be available on prior request. Two bottles of drinking water per day will be provided during the train journey.

Essential Medical: Facilities in the form of first aid would be available at the campsite. All emergences would be treated by the nearest available doctor/medical facility.

Mobile Phones: Are allowed but not during camp activities.

Please Submit: A Photocopy of the Photo ID proof at the time of registration and the same original Photo ID proof, seven days before departure. The participants may have to pay fine, wherever applicable in the absence of original Photo ID.

Please Note: Road journey in all the programmes would be in Non Ac vehicles.

Himalayan Camp – Shimla Tentative Schedule by Regular 3AC Train (Batch No. 01 to 07 & 13 to 14)
Day 01: Depart from Ahmedabad for Delhi by 3 AC train in the morning/evening.

Day 02: Arrive Delhi in the morning and leave for Shimla Campsite by luxury bus/Tempo travellers. Arrive Campsite in the evening. Basic instructions & room allotment.

Day 03: Orientation meeting, breakfast and introduction to the flora & fauna of the surroundings through an acclimatisation walk around the campsite and survival activities like self-cooking and tent pitching in the morning. High rope activities like Double rope crossing, Burma bridge and Bamboo bridge after lunch.

Day 04: Rappelling in the morning. Tree Jumaring and Group games in the evening.

Day 05: Long trek to the Indian Institute of Advance studies (Vice regal lodge-where Shimla agreement was signed) in the morning with packed lunch. Visit Shimla town in the evening.

Day 06: Bush craft and Navigation trek through map reading in the morning. Treasure hunt, feedback session and group photograph in the evening. Depart for Delhi after dinner.

Day 07: Arrive Delhi in the morning. Transfer to a hotel for freshen up (Please note that no extra bed will be provided) and depart for Ahmedabad by 3 Ac train in the evening.

Day 08: Arrive Ahmedabad in the morning/afternoon.

Himalayan Camp – Shimla Tentative Schedule Special 3AC Coach (Batch No. 08 to 12)
Day 01: Depart in the morning from Ahmedabad for Chandigarh by train in a 3 Ac special (chartered) bogie.

Day 02: Arrive Chandigarh in the morning and leave for Shimla Campsite by luxury bus/tempo travellers. Arrive Campsite in the afternoon. Basic instructions and room allotment. Orientation meeting, Introduction to the flora & fauna of the surroundings through an acclimatisation walk around the campsite and survival activities like self-cooking and tent pitching after lunch.

Day 03: Rappelling and Tree Jumaring in the morning. High rope activities like Double rope crossing, Burma bridge and Bamboo bridge after lunch.

Day 04: Long trek to the Indian Institute of Advance studies (Vice regal lodge-where Shimla agreement was signed) in the morning with packed lunch. Visit Shimla town in the evening.

Day 05: Bush craft and Navigation trek through map reading in the morning. Treasure hunt, feedback session, and group photograph in the evening.

DAY 06: Depart for Chandigarh after breakfast. Arrive Chandigarh in the afternoon and depart for Ahmedabad by evening train in a 3 Ac special (chartered) bogie.

Day 07: Arrive Ahmedabad in the afternoon.

* Final travel schedule will be ready 2 days before the departure.
*In case if any Camp activity is cancelled due to weather condition or any other unforeseen reason/s, no refund will be given for that.

Charges:
Our charges are inclusive of accomodation, travelling from Ahmedbad (by different modes), food, service charges and GST. All charges are per person.

From Ahmedabad 3AC Train Journey Regular Coach (Batch No. 08 to 12  - 7 Days)
Rs. 24,500/- (For Students 11 to 22 yrs)
Rs. 26,000/- (For others Above 22 yrs)  
Rs. 22,500/- (For Child with Family (5-10 yrs)

Registration:
Please fill up the registration form and pay an advance of Rs. 10,000/- for 3 AC Train Journey to confirm your booking. The balance payment should reach our office at least 30 days before the commencement of the journey. Reservation is done on first come first served basis. Railway reservation will depend on the availability of tickets.

Package Cost Includes
All meals during the camp / tour (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). Transfers & sightseeing as mentioned in the itinerary by Non-A/c Vehicle. Accommodation in Eco huts. 

Package Cost Does Not Include
Any meals other than those mentioned above. Any Hotel tips, Room Service, Laundry, Mineral water, Telephone charges and all items of personal nature and meals and drinks not specified in the inclusions. Any services not specifically mentioned in the inclusions. Camera fees wherever applicable. Ropeway/Boating charges wherever applicable. In case if any sightseeing place is cancelled or rescheduled, due to any unforeseen reasons, no refund will be given for that.

Cheques or DD should be in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED, payable at VADODARA only.

A Batch in any programme is subject to cancellation if the total number of particpants is below 20.

Cancellation Charges*:
Minimum : @10%
Between 30 & 15 days : @25%
Between 14 & 8 days : @50%
Last 7 days : No Refund

* Cancellation charges will be applicable on total Program cost.
* Please note that the booking is not transferable.
* Please bring original receipt for claiming the refund.

*In case of Government Lockdownbecause of Covid, the cancellation charges would be only Rs.1,000/-. Rest of the amount will be refunded. For any other reason, the regular cancellation policy will be applied.

• Jain food will be provided on demand as per availability.The amount once paid is non transferable.
  
• The balance payment is to be paid at least 30 days before the departure of the batch. If balance payment is not made on time it would automatically be considered cancelled without any prior intimation and no refund would be given in this regard.
  
• Local Cheque/Demand Draft should be issued in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED. Outstation cheque would not be accepted.
  
• Payment against dishonoured cheque/s to be paid in cash with additional charge of Rs.200/- per cheque.
  
• No refund will be given in case the participant terminates the tour at any point due to any reason.
  
• According to the strength of the group proper vehicle would be arranged and that should be acceptable to all.
  
• Participants will have to walk to visit the places that are near to the hotel or where our vehicle cannot reach.
  
• Please do not bring valuables in the tour. It will be participant's duty to take care of their own luggage.
  
• The organisers shall not be held responsible for loss/theft of the participant’s luggage and belongings.
  
• At any point during the tour if any damage is done to the hotel property or bus or at any other point knowingly or unknowingly by any participant the responsible participant will have to bear the total damage charges and will have to settle it on the spot.
  
• Tour may be cancelled if there is not enough strength; actual amount paid by the participant towards the trip will be refunded by A/c payee cheque only. No other claims will be entertained.
  
• It is the responsibility of participant to collect the necessary travel documents from our office on time. The organisers or any individual connected with it will not be held responsible in case of any accident or any unforeseen calamity.
  
• The Company reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking/terminate a passenger on tour in event of unreasonable behaviour at any time.
  
• The Company has the right at any time and for any reason to amend, alter, vary or withdraw/substitute a hotel, travel arrangement or independent contractor for the reasons, which may be deemed fit and proper by the Company. The passengers shall have no rights to raise any dispute regarding the same.
  
• In case if the tour days increases due to any unforeseen circumstances, the participants will have to pay Rs.2,000/- per head per day in cash to the tour manager.
  
• Outdoors Unlimited has the right to use the participant's name, information and photographs in promotional materials, brochures and press releases.
  
• In case if any rescue operation is to be undertaken, it will be charged from the participants on actual basis.
  
• In case if the tour is cancelled or abandoned due to any unforeseen circumstances, no refund would be given.
  
• Organisers will not be responsible towards any internal disputes arising with fellow participants.
  
• We are not bound to provide name, address or any other personal details of other participants.
  
• Any claim or complaint by the passenger must be notified to the Company in writing within ten days after the tour completion date. No claim notified to the Company outside this period will be entertained and the Company shall incur no liability in respect thereof.
  
• If the passenger has any complaint in respect of services provided by any of the independent contractors, the passenger shall immediately notify the same to the independent contractor and a copy thereof should be handed over to the tour manager, to enable the Company to take up the matter with the independent contractor.
  
• The signing of the booking form by the passengers shall mean acceptance in totality of the ‘Terms and Conditions’ contained herein by the passengers. In case of one or more, but not all passengers signing the ‘Booking Form’, it shall be deemed that the others have duly authorized the concerned signing passenger.
  
• Disputes, if any, will be subject to jurisdiction of Vadodara courts only.

Reporting

• Please mark your attendance with the Group Leader at the Railway Station at the time and date given in the itinerary. 
  
• Do not board the Train without Reporting. 
  
• Itinerary is only for Parents’ reference, Participants should carry only the lower slip of the Itinerary.

• Campers should not get down during the train journey at any station. 
• In case of any requirement, the group leader should be informed.
  
• Campers are requested not to stand near the Door of the train.
  
• Campers should avoid talking to Strangers.
  

Camp Site

• There will be separate accommodation for Girls and Boys.
  
• Campsite is near Shimla Town, away from the maddening crowd. Backwoods retreat, Village Chinari, P.O. Chailly, Summer Hill, Shimla Himachal Pradesh 171005.

• Wholesome & Hygienic vegetarian Food will be served, including Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
• In train, we generally provide the Train Food.
  
• Two Bottles of drinking water per day will be provided during the train journey.
• Special Jain / Swaminarayan food is also served at the campsite if mentioned in the application form. However, the same cannot be guaranteed during the journey.
  

• All Eco huts have attached Western type toilets and bathrooms with running water. 
• Hot water will be available for bathing.
• Please Help to Maintain Proper Hygiene. 

• Usually the day temperature is pleasant but in case of rains, it may go down. Nights would be cold. The Weather in the Himalayas is very unpredictable. It is advisable to carry enough woolens & Rain coat.
  

• The campers will be escorted by trained group leaders from Ahmedabad to the campsite & back.
  
• There will be at least one female group leader in each batch.
  
• Apart from these group leaders there will be enough people to look after them at the campsite.
  
• All the adventure activities are done under the supervision of professional instructors and with all safety measures.
  
• The campsite is a safe place & we have an excellent rapport with the local people.
  
• We are very strict with ourselves and campers. For safety reasons, the campers are not allowed to go out of the campsite without escorts.
  

• Cell phones are allowed but not during camp activities
  
• Parents will be updated about the whereabouts of the campers via SMS every day.
  
• Same updates can also be checked on our website, in case you may not receive SMS due to any technical problem.
  
• Our Camp Director will be constantly in touch with our office, so in case of any inquiry, you may contact our office on 079-26442289 or 079 26561359 (10:30 am to 08:00 pm.).
  

• In case of an emergency, Parents may contact us on 09662299016/21 (08 pm to 10:30 am.)
  
• First – Aid kit will be available with the group leader throughout the programme.
  
• Please do not give any extra medicines to the campers, unless, s/he is undergoing any specific treatment.
  
• There is a doctor on call facility available for any medical emergency.
  

• We cannot do the photography for you but the participants are encouraged to bring their own cameras if they can take care of the same.
  

• A list of things to be carried is given in the brochure. Bring all the things accordingly.
  
• Day-Pack, Water Bottle, Sports Shoes with proper grip, Warm Clothes, Goggles & Gloves are essential.
  
• Campers are advised to pack all their material in an easy to handle Rucksack.
  
• Please Tag all the belongings of the campers.
  

• As such our charges include everything; still they may require some extra money for Shopping / Refreshments.
  
• Give only as much as they can handle.
  

• Please submit an original Photo ID proof of the participant at least 1 week before the departure.
  
• The participants may have to pay the fine, wherever applicable in the absence of original Photo ID.
  
• Though proper care of the entire luggage is taken, we will not be responsible for any lost or damaged items.
  
• We have a system of “Lost & Found” at the campsite.
  
• Please pay the balance payment 30 days before the departure.
  
• If you have not filled up the application form, do it at the earliest. The participant will not be allowed to indulge in any activity if the application form is not submitted.
  
• The form contains space for special remarks from your side like sleep walking, allergy etc. If you have not mentioned, please fill it up at least 7 days before the departure.
  

• A Specially designed certificate would be issued to all those campers who complete all the activities and abide by the Camp discipline.
