LADAKH with NUBRA VALLEY
LADAKH
is  traversed by other mountain chains, the Ladakh and Zanskar Range. It is rightly called "Land of endless discovery." A vast highland desert at an altitude of 11500 feet, LEH is the center of Buddhist culture. The participants would be visiting Thiksey Gompa, Hemis Gompa, Stok Palace, Shanti Stupa and Magnetic Point.

The highest motorable road in the world, KHARDUNGLA is another destination. PONGONG TSO a brackish water lake at an altitude of 14256 ft. must be the highest such lake in the world. Interestingly, one third of this lake belongs to India and the remaining water belongs to China.

NUBRA is a high altitude cold desert. Local scholars say that its original name was Ldumra (Valley of Flowers). The Shyok River meets the Nubra or Siachan River to form a large valley that seprates the Ladakh and Karakoram ranges.

Eligibility: 16 to 60 years.
Fitness certificate from certified medical practioner required to be submitted before undertaking the jeep safari.

Accommodation: in decent hotels/tents on sharing basis.

Jeep: Six persons will share one Jeep.

Please Carry: Five to Six pairs of casual clothes, one pair of warm clothes, night dress, hand gloves, sunscreen lotion, cap, sunglasses, sports shoes, cotton socks, floaters/sandals, torch, Snacks, Water bag with strap, day pack, 2 Passport size photographs and sanitary requisites. 

Food: Wholesome and hygienic vegetarian food will be served. Jain food will be available on prior request at Hotel. Two bottles of drinking water per day will be provided during the train journey.

Essential Medical Facilities: in the form of first aid would be available with the group leader. All emerginces would be treated by the nearest available doctor/medical facility.

Please Submit: A Photocopy of the Photo ID proof at the time of registration and the same original Photo ID proof, seven days before departure. The participants may have to pay fine, wherever applicable in the absence of original Photo ID.

Please Note: Road journey in all the programmes would be in Non Ac vehicles.

Tentative Itinerary Jeep safari - Ladakh with Nubra Valley

DAY 01: Depart from Ahmedabad for Delhi by train in the evening.

DAY 02: Arrive Delhi in the morning and shift to the hotel for fresh up (Please note that no extra bed will be provided). Depart for Manali by Volvo or similar bus in the evening.

DAY 03: Arrive Manali in the morning, transfer to hotel. Orientation meeting after lunch, evening at leisure.

DAY 04: Jeep safari to Sarchu via Rohtang Pass and Barlacha Pass. Night stay at Sarchu/Pang.

DAY 05: Jeep safari to Leh via Morey plains and Tanglangla pass. Arrive Leh in the evening.

DAY 06: Visit Thiksey monastery & Hemis monastery after breakfast. Visit Hall of Fame, Shanti stupa, Sangam of Sindhu & Zanskar Rivers, Magnetic hill and Pattharsahib Gurudwara after lunch. Dinner and over night at the hotel.

DAY 07: Jeep safari to Pangong Tso (137 km.), this is the day to be ready by 6:00 AM & be on the roads! Night stay at Leh.

DAY 08: Jeep safari to Nubra valley via WORLD’S HIGHEST MOTORABLE ROAD - KHARDUNGLA PASS with memories full of spectacular beauty unmatched anywhere in the world! Visit sand dunes in the evening. Night stay at Diskit.

DAY 09: After breakfast, visit Diskit Monastery and depart for Leh. Evening at leisure. Night stay at Leh.

DAY 10: Jeep safari to Sarchu or Keylong. Night stay at Sarchu or Keylong. (Schedule ends in the morning for those opting for return journey by flight)

DAY 11: Jeep safari to Manali in the morning. Night stay at Manali.

DAY 12: Free time for shopping/leisure. Depart for Delhi in the evening by Volvo or similar bus.

DAY 13: Arrive Delhi in the morning and shift to hotel for freshen up (Please note that no extra bed will be provided). Depart for Ahmedabad by train.

DAY 14: Arrive Ahmedabad in the morning.

Sarchu/Keylong:      1 night

Jeep: Scorpio/Tavera or similar (6 pax + driver in one jeep)

*Please note that this is a tentative schedule and may change as per the operational feasibility.

*Final travel schedule will be ready 2 days before the departure. The route may change on the last moment if the weather conditions are not favourable.

*If the trip gets abandoned after departure due to unfavourable weather conditions or due to any unforeseen reasons, no refund will be given

Registration:
Please fill up the registration form and pay an advance of Rs. 15,000/- for 3 AC Train Journey to confirm your booking. The balance payment should reach our office at least 30 days before the commencement of the journey. Reservation is done on first come first served basis. Railway reservation will depend on the availability of tickets.

Package Cost Includes:
  • All meals during the tour (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
  • Transfers & sightseeing as mentioned in the itinerary by Non-A/c Vehicle.
  • Accommodation in Decent Hotels/Resorts. 
  • Assistance on arrival. 
Package Cost Does Not Include:
  • Any meals other than those mentioned above.
  • Any Hotel tips, Room Service, Laundry, Mineral water, Telephone charges and all items of personal nature and meals and drinks not specified in the inclusions.
  • Any services not specifically mentioned in the inclusions.
  • Camera fees wherever applicable.
  • Ropeway/Boating charges wherever applicable.
  • In case if any sight seeing place is cancelled or rescheduled, due to any unforeseen reasons, no refund will be given for that.
Cheques or DD should be in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED, payable at VADODARA only.

A batch in any programme is subjet to cancellation if total number of participants is below 20.

All Covid-19 norms & regulations will be followed at all campsites at all times.

  • Jain food will be provided on demand as per availability
  • The amount once paid is non transferable.
  • The balance payment is to be paid atleast 30 days before the departure of the batch. If balance payment is not made on time it would automatically be considered cancelled without any prior intimation and no refund would be given in this regard.
  • Local Cheque/Demand Draft should be issued in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED
  • Outstation cheque would not be accepted.
  • Payment against dishonored cheque/s to be paid in cash with additional charge of Rs.200/- per cheque.
  • No refund will be given in case the participant terminates the tour at any point due to any reason.
  • According to the strength of the group proper vehicle would be arranged and that should be acceptable to all.
  • Participants will have to walk to visit the places that are near to the hotel or where our vehicle cannot reach.
  • Please do not bring valuables in the tour. It will be participants’ duty to take care of their own luggage. Company is not liable for any kind of theft, loss or damage to your luggage.
  • At any point during the tour if any damage is done to the hotel property or bus or at any other point knowingly or unknowingly by any participant the responsible participant will have to bear the total damage charges and will have to settle it on the spot.
  • Tour may be cancelled if there is not enough strength, actual amount paid by the participant towards the trip will be refunded by A/c payee cheque only. No other claims will be entertained.
  • It is the responsibility of participant to collect the necessary travel documents from our office on time.
  • The organisers or any individual connected with it will not be held responsible in case of any accident or any unforeseen calamity.
  • The Company reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking/terminate a participant on tour in event of unreasonable behaviour at any time.
  • The Company has the right at any time and for any reason to amend, alter, vary or withdraw/substitute a hotel, travel arrangement or independent contractor for the reasons, which may be deemed fit and proper by the Company. The participants shall have no rights to raise any dispute regarding the same.
  • In case if the tour days increases due to any unforeseen circumstances, the participants will have to pay Rs.700/- per head per day in cash to the tour manager.
  • Outdoors Unlimited has the right to use the participant's name, information and photographs in promotional materials, brochures and press releases.
  • In case if any rescue operation is to be undertaken, it will be charged from the participants on actual basis.
  • In case if the tour is cancelled or abandoned due to any unforeseen circumstances, no refund would be given.
  • Organisers will not be responsible towards any internal disputes arising with fellow participants.
  • Any claim or complaint by the participant must be notified to the Company in writing within ten days after the tour completion date. No claim notified to the Company outside this period will be entertained and the Company shall incur no liability in respect thereof.
  • If the participant has any complaint in respect of services provided by any of the independent contractors, the participant shall immediately notify the same to the independent contractor and a copy thereof should be handed over to the tour manager, to enable the Company to take up the matter with the independent contractor.
  • The signing of the booking form by the participant shall mean acceptance in totality of the ‘Terms and Conditions’ contained herein by the participant. In case of one or more, but not all participant signing the ‘Booking Form’, it shall be deemed that the others have duly authorized the concerned signing participant.
  • Disputes, if any, will be subject to jurisdiction of Vadodara courts only.

Disclaimer: While all care will be taken for the safety of the participants, OUTDOORS UNLIMITED, or any individual connected to it would not be held responsible for any accident or any unforeseen incident. Participants will have to look after their luggage throughout the journey as well as during the camp/tour. Doctor’s certificate would be required if the participant is undergoing any medical treatment, is over-weight or above 60 years.
OUTDOORS UNLIMITED reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking/terminate a participant during the camp/eco-tour in event of unreasonable behaviour in such cases no refund will be given.
Reporting
  • Please mark your attendance with the Group Leader as per mentioned time and date given in the Final itinerary.
  • Do not board the Train/Bus without Reporting.
Journey
  • Ahmedabad - Delhi - Ahmedabad would be by train.
  • Delhi - Manali - Delhi would be by Volvo Bus. Rest of the journey would be by Jeeps.
Accommodation
  • Would be in decent hotel.
  • Would be in tents at Sarchu
Food
  • Wholesome & Hygienic vegetarian Food will be served, including Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
  • In train, we generally provide the Train Food.
  • Two bottles of drinking water per day will be provided during the train journey.
  • Special Jain / Swaminarayan food is also served if mentioned in the application form.
Weather
  • Could be very cold specially on Passes. It is advisable to carry Heavy woolens.

  • First – Aid kit will be available with the group leader throughout the programme.
Photographs

  • A list of things to be carried is given in the final itinerary. Bring all the things accordingly.

Please Tag all the belongings.
Please Note
  • The participants may have to pay the fine, wherever applicable in the absence of original Photo ID.
  • Though proper care of the entire luggage is taken, we will not be responsible for any lost or damaged items.
  • Please pay the balance payment 30 days before the departure.
