Kedarkantha, situated in the Tons river valley of the Garhwal Himalayas is a beautiful ridge peak, easily accessible anytime of the year. The trek goes through the Govind National Park and gives you ample time to soak in the flora and fauna of this protected area. The summit lies at an altitude of 3850 m and reaching the top is very satisfying as you are rewarded with views of peaks like the Swargarohini, Banderpooch, Kalanag and Ranglana. The beauty of the trek, especially during winter is unsurpassed with views that are completely blissful to witness.

Tentative Itinerary
Day 01             Dehradun – Sankri (1950 m) (Drive @210 kms/8-9 hrs)
    Early morning departure from Dehradun for the beautiful village of Sankri. Late evening arrival Sankri, Check into Guest House/ Hotel. Trek briefing before dinner, overnight at Sankri.
                                               
Day 02:            Sankri to Juda Ka Talab (2,774 m) | Trek: 2-3 hrs
    Post early breakfast, we will start on a 4 km trek to our campsite at Juda Talab. The trail spreads through the Saud village and is a gentle climb through pine forests and maple trees. Dinner and overnight        stay in tents below the lake.
 
Day 03:            Juda Ka Talab to Kedarkantha base camp (3,429 m) | Trek: 2-3 hrs
Today we trek from Juda Talab to the Kedarkantha base Camp. The trail leads through pine and oak trees and opens out onto a sprawling meadow below the Kedarkantha summit. Gorgeous views of snow-capped ranges can be enjoyed from here.
 
Day 04:            Kedarkantha base camp to Kedarkantha summit (3,810 m) and back to Hargaon (2,713 m) / Juda Ka Talab | Trek: 5-6 hrs
Post breakfast we start early for the ascent to the Kedarkantha Summit. The views are breath-taking from here especially towards Himachal. Later we will descend back to our camp at Juda Talab or Hargaon. Overnight in tents.
 
Day 05:            Hargaon / Juda Ka Talab to Sankri | Trek: 2-3 hrs.
After a leisure morning we shall descend down to Sankri. The trek once again takes you through the dense pine forests. Evening is free to explore this Himalayan Village, which serves as the base camp for many treks.
 
Day 06:            Sankri to Dehradun | Drive @210 kms  Drive 8-9 Drive
After an early breakfast we depart for Dehradun. Arrive Dehradun by evening. Trip ends here.

·   The route may change on the last moment if the weather conditions are not favourable.
·       If the trip gets abandoned after departure due to unfavourable weather conditions, no refund will be given.
·       All treks are subject to weather condition. 
·         The mentioned dates are likely to change depending upon the group.

Package Cost Does Not Include:
● Any meals other than those mentioned above. Baggage Offloading charges● Any Hotel tips, Room Service, Laundry, Mineral water, Telephone charges and all items of personal nature and meals and drinks not specified in the inclusions. ● Any services not specifically mentioned in the inclusions. ● Camera fees wherever applicable. ● Extra Mule or Helicopter charges wherever applicable. ● Cost arising due to unforeseen incidents like bad weather, medical evacuation, roadblocks etc. ● The route may change on the last moment if the weather conditions are not favorable. ● All treks are subject to weather condition. ● If in case, after beginning the trek is cancelled or rescheduled, due to any unforeseen reasons, no refund will be given for that. ● Waterproof / water resistant Trekking Shoes and Walking Poles / Sticks, on rental basis can be arranged on prior notice.
 
Registration: Please fill up the registration form and pay advance of Rs. 5,000/- to confirm your booking. Balance payment to be done 20 days before the commencement date. Booking is done on first come first served basis. Cheques, NEFT/RTGS should be in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED, payable at Vadodara only.
 
Medical emergences would be treated by the nearest available doctor/medical facility. Any cost arising for this would have to be paid extra.

  • Jain food will be provided on demand as per availability .
  •   The amount once paid is non transferable.
  •  The balance payment is to be paid atleast 30 days before the departure of the batch. If balance payment is not made on time it would automatically be considered cancelled without any prior intimation and no refund would be given in this regard.
  •  Local Cheque/Demand Draft should be issued in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED
  • Outstation cheque would not be accepted.
  •  Payment against dishonored cheque/s to be paid in cash with additional charge of Rs.200/- per cheque.
  •   No refund will be given in case the participant terminates the programme at any point due to any reason.
  •   According to the strength of the group proper vehicle would be arranged and that should be acceptable to all.
  •  Participants will have to walk to visit the places that are near to the hotel or where our vehicle cannot reach.
  •  Please do not bring valuables in the programme. It will be participant's duty to take care of their own luggage. Company is not liable for any kind of theft, loss or damage to your luggage.
  •  At any point during the programme if any damage is done to the hotel property or bus or at any other point knowingly or unknowingly by any participant the responsible participant will have to bear the total damage charges and will have to settle it on the spot.
  • In case of the cancellation of the programme, actual amount paid by the participant towards the trip will be refunded by A/c payee cheque only. No other claims will be entertained.
  • It is the responsibility of participant to collect the necessary travel documents from our office on time.
  • The organisers or any individual connected with it will not be held responsible in case of any accident or any unforeseen calamity.
  •  The Company reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking/terminate a passenger on programme in event of unreasonable behaviour at any time.
  • The Company has the right at any time and for any reason to amend, alter, vary or withdraw/substitute a hotel, travel arrangement or independent contractor for the reasons, which may be deemed fit and proper by the Company. The passengers shall have no rights to raise any dispute regarding the same.
  •  In case if the programme days increases due to any unforeseen circumstances, the participants will have to pay Rs.900/- per head per day in cash to the programme manager.
  • Outdoors Unlimited has the right to use the participant's name, information and photographs in promotional materials, brochures and press releases.
  • In case if any rescue operation is to be undertaken, it will be charged from the participants on actual basis.
  • In case if the programme is cancelled or abandoned due to any unforeseen circumstances, no refund would be given.
  • Organisers will not be responsible towards any internal disputes arising with fellow participants.
  • Any claim or complaint by the passenger must be notified to the Company in writing within ten days after the programme completion date. No claim notified to the Company outside this period will be entertained and the Company shall incur no liability in respect thereof.
  • If the passenger has any complaint in respect of services provided by any of the independent contractors, the passenger shall immediately notify the same to the independent contractor and a copy thereof should be handed over to the programme manager, to enable the Company to take up the matter with the independent contractor.
  • The signing of the booking form by the passengers shall mean acceptance in totality of the ‘Terms and Conditions’ contained herein by the passengers.
  • In case of one or more, but not all passengers signing the ‘Booking Form’, it shall be deemed that the others have duly authorized the concerned signing passenger.
  • Disputes, if any, will be subject to jurisdiction of VADODARA courts only.
