The Valley of Flowers is reputed to be an enchanting sight, a land ablaze with a bewildering variety of flowers fluttering in the gentle intermittent breeze which wafts their fragrance abroad. Set amidst majestic snow clad mountains the valley is spread over an area of 87.5 sq. kms., at an altitude of is 3250 m to 6750 m above mean sea level. The bloom starts immediately after the melting of snow but the peak blooming period is from mid July to mid August. Almost 300 species of wild flowers bloom here unhindered by mankind.


Valley of Flowers National Park is an outstandingly beautiful high-altitude Himalayan valley renowned for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and outstanding natural beauty. It is located in Uttarakhand state. This richly diverse area is also home to rare and endangered animals, including the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, brown bear and blue sheep.
The valley was declared a national park in 1982 and now it is a World Heritage Site. The valley is home to many celebrated flowers like the Brahmakamal, the Blue Poppy and the Cobra Lily.

Carry your stuff in a duffel bag, soft shoulder bag or a rucksack. Avoid suitcases, trolleys or any other hard luggage. As you will be walking long distances carrying a rucksack, avoid bringing unnecessary items on the trek. Please avoid carrying expensive watches, jewellery and electronic items on the trek. Also remember that the bag which will be carried by the porters can have a maximum wt. Of 15 kgs so pack sensibly

Valley Of Flowers Tentative Itinerary by Flight
Day 01: Depart from Vadodara/Ahmedabad by flight for Dehradun. Arrive Dehradun by noon and depart for Srinagar by Non AC vehicle. For most part of the journey, you shall drive along the Ganga. Enroute you will be crossing the holy town of Rishikesh & Dev Prayag. Arrival at Srinagar by evening. Evening at leisure. Night Halt.

Day 02: Early morning departure from Srinagar to Auli. This is a long but interesting drive. You will for most part of the journey drive along the Alaknanda river. On way you will be crossing Srinagar town, the biggest in the entire Alaknanda valley, the holy towns of Rudra Prayag, Karna Prayag & Nand Prayag. Evening relax watching the mighty Himalayas. Overnight in Auli.

Day 03: After early breakfast drive for about an hour or so to reach Govindghat (22Kms), our starting point for the trek. We start the trek by crossing the river Alaknanda over a bridge at Govindghat. Further transfer by local vehicle upto Pulna. The 11 Km Trek for Ghangaria begins with packed lunch or hot lunch from Pulna. We trek towards the Bhyundar valley through forest area and a few villages. There are numerous waterfalls and lush green landscape all around. The gradient of the trail is moderate. The trek to Ghangaria takes about 4-5 hrs. One can also hire a mule or use the helicopter service to reach Ghangaria. Room allotment on arrival followed by Trek briefing. Overnight in Hotel at Ghangaria.

Day 04:
After breakfast, trek to Valley of Flowers with Pack Lunch. It's a delightful and short ascent to the valley. Gradient is moderate and the landscape extremely soothing to the eye. It will take about a couple of hours to reach the valley. The beauty of this world-renowned valley totally lives up to its reputation. There are unending meadows laden with varieties of alpine flowers, network of streams and big mountains all around. At the entrance of the Valley stands the snow-clad peak of Ratban Parvat, towards the left is Nar Parvat, which separates the Badrinath valley from this valley, and to the right is dense Birch forest on the hillsides. We will spend 3-4 hrs exploring different corners & vantage points of the valley and towards late afternoon head back to Ghangaria. Overnight at Ghangaria.
 
Day 05: After breakfast, full day trek to Hemkund Sahib with Pack Lunch. Today's climb to Hemkund Sahib is steep at places and will take about 3 - 4 hrs. The lake is surrounded by wild flowers with Brahmkamal & the Blue Poppy being the most popular. Pilgrims take a dip in the freezing cold waters of the lake, not an easy task. We will also visit the Laxman mandir next to the Gurudwara. Towards afternoon head back to Ghangaria. Overnight at Ghangaria

Day 06: After early breakfast, we start our return trek to Govindghat with Pack Lunch. We are expected to reach Govindghat by noon.
On reaching Govindghat we board our waiting vehicle and drive back to Auli. After refreshing we can visit Auli Top and experience the open cable cart ride. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Auli.
OR
On reaching Govindghat we drive for about an hour (25Kms) to reach the beautiful temple town of Badrinath. A quick visit to the temple and we head back to Auli.
(Depends on prevailing weather & road conditions and time of reaching Ghangaria)

Day 07: After breakfast we head back straight to Rishikesh. This is a long journey and we expect to reach Rishikesh by early evening. Evening is at leisure. Visit to see the illuminated Laxman Jhula a must. Night halt at Rishikesh.

Day 08:
We shift to the Airport as per the flight timings after general refreshments and board our flight back to Vadodara/Ahmedabad. Arrival Vadodara/Ahmedabad around noon / evening.

Rs. 27,300/- per person on twine sharing basis + Flight Tickets at actuals

Registration: Please fill up the registration form and pay an advance of Rs. Rs. 10,000/- to confirm your booking. The balance payment should reach our office at least 30 days before the commencement of the journey. 

Cheques or DD should be in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED, payable at Vadodara only.

Please note the following points:

•The route may change on the last moment if the weather conditions are not favourable.
•If the trip gets abandoned after departure due to unfavourable weather conditions, no refund will be given.
•All treks are subject to weather condition.

● Any services not specifically mentioned in the inclusions.
● Camera fees wherever applicable.
● Ropeway/Boating charges wherever applicable.
● In case if any sightseeing place is cancelled or rescheduled, due to any unforeseen reasons, no refund will be given for that.
●Any costs arising out of unforeseen circumstances like landslides, road blocks, bad weather, etc

  • Jain food will be provided on demand as per availability .
  • The amount once paid is non transferable.
  • The balance payment is to be paid atleast 30 days before the departure of the batch. If balance payment is not made on time it would automatically be considered cancelled without any prior intimation and no refund would be given in this regard.
  • Local Cheque/Demand Draft should be issued in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED
  • Outstation cheque would not be accepted.
  • Payment against dishonored cheque/s to be paid in cash with additional charge of Rs.200/- per cheque.
  • No refund will be given in case the participant terminates the programme at any point due to any reason.
  • According to the strength of the group proper vehicle would be arranged and that should be acceptable to all.
  • Participants will have to walk to visit the places that are near to the hotel or where our vehicle cannot reach.
  • Please do not bring valuables in the programme. It will be participant's duty to take care of their own luggage. Company is not liable for any kind of theft, loss or damage to your luggage.
  • At any point during the programme if any damage is done to the hotel property or bus or at any other point knowingly or unknowingly by any participant the responsible participant will have to bear the total damage charges and will have to settle it on the spot.
  • In case of the cancellation of the programme, actual amount paid by the participant towards the trip will be refunded by A/c payee cheque only. No other claims will be entertained.
  • It is the responsibility of participant to collect the necessary travel documents from our office on time.
  • The organisers or any individual connected with it will not be held responsible in case of any accident or any unforeseen calamity.
  • The Company reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking/terminate a passenger on programme in event of unreasonable behaviour at any time.
  • The Company has the right at any time and for any reason to amend, alter, vary or withdraw/substitute a hotel, travel arrangement or independent contractor for the reasons, which may be deemed fit and proper by the Company. The passengers shall have no rights to raise any dispute regarding the same.
  • In case if the programme days increases due to any unforeseen circumstances, the participants will have to pay Rs.700/- per head per day in cash to the programme manager.
  • Outdoors Unlimited has the right to use the participant's name, information and photographs in promotional materials, brochures and press releases.
  • In case if any rescue operation is to be undertaken, it will be charged from the participants on actual basis.
  • In case if the programme is cancelled or abandoned due to any unforeseen circumstances, no refund would be given.
  • Organisers will not be responsible towards any internal disputes arising with fellow participants.
  • Any claim or complaint by the passenger must be notified to the Company in writing within ten days after the programme completion date. No claim notified to the Company outside this period will be entertained and the Company shall incur no liability in respect thereof.
  • If the passenger has any complaint in respect of services provided by any of the independent contractors, the passenger shall immediately notify the same to the independent contractor and a copy thereof should be handed over to the programme manager, to enable the Company to take up the matter with the independent contractor.
  • The signing of the booking form by the passengers shall mean
  • acceptance in totality of the ‘Terms and Conditions’ contained herein by the passengers.
  • In case of one or more, but not all passengers signing the ‘Booking Form’, it shall be deemed that the others have duly authorized the concerned signing passenger.
  • Disputes, if any, will be subject to jurisdiction of VADODARA courts only.
