 Lahaul and Spiti district located in the northern most stretch of the heavenly Himalayas, it offers glorious views of the mountains coupled with inordinate natural beauty. This stunning   desert valley boasts of scenic high-altitude lakes. Spiti is known for being home to some of the world’s highest villages. Once en route, you won’t be able to miss pearl-white houses   dotted on cliffs along with gurgling streams of a serene river.

Tour Route Shimla-Sangla-Chitkul-Kalpa-Tabo-Kaza-Chandratal-Manali. This route will offer you high mountain passes, undisturbed settlements, amaizingly beautiful valley of indian Himalayas, high snow clad peaks, crystal clear lakes and rivers flowing fast through the mountains.

Eligibility: 16 to 60 yrs

Accommodation: In decent hotels/tents on sharing basis .

Jeep: Six person will share one Jeep.

Please Carry: Five to Six pairs of comfortable clothes, one pair of heavy woolens, night dress, hand gloves, sunscreen lotion, cap, sunglasses, sports shoes, cotton socks, floaters / sandals, water bag, torch, snacks, music Cd or Pendrive, day pack, 2 Passport size photograps and sanitary requisites.

Food: Wholesome and hygienic vegetarian food will be served. Jain food will be available on prior request. Two bottles of drinking water per day will be provided during the train journey.

Essential Medical:
First aid would be available throughout the programme. All emergences would be treated by the nearest available doctor/medical facility.

Please Submit: A Photocopy of the Photo ID proof at the time of registration and the same original Photo ID proof, seven days before departure. The participants may have to pay fine, wherever applicable in the absence of original Photo ID.

Please Note: Road journey in all the programmes would be in Non Ac vehicles.

TENTATIVE ITINERARY


DAY 01: Depart from Ahmedabad for Delhi by train in the evening.

DAY 02: Arrive Delhi in the morning and leave for Shimla by Volvo or similar Bus. Arrive Shimla in the evening and rest at the hotel.

DAY 03: Drive to Sangla (230 km/8 to 9 hours) through the thick woods of Narkanda and alongside the River Sutluj. In the evening reach and check in hotel. Enjoy the evening in beautiful surroundings in the river valley of Baspa at the height of 9000ft.

DAY 04: After B/F, explore the vicinity around including an ancient Kamru Fort & Kamakhya Devi Temple. Post Lunch, excursion to Chitkul – a last Village on Old Indo – Tibetan Trade Route. Walk through green orchards & brilliant stream. Return back to Sangla for Dinner & O/N stay.

DAY 05:
Drive to Kalpa (4 HOURS/49 KM, 2670 Mtrs) in the morning. Post Lunch, rest in Hotel & in the evening, visit to Buddhist Gompa – Hu Bu Lan Kar And Roghi Village (beautiful village in kalpa). Dinner & O/N stay.

DAY 06: Drive to Tabo (4-5 HOURS/150 KM., 3500 Mtrs). En-route visit Nako Lake – Kinnaur’s most picturesque hamlet. Arrive Tabo, an ancient village situated on the left bank of River Spiti & Check-in to your Hotel. Dinner & O/N stay.

DAY 07: Drive to Kaza: (50 km/ 2-3 hours). On the way, visit Tabo Monastery. The day has a surprise where a visit to the village of 5oo year’s old mummy makes your journey more exciting. Check in at hotel in kaza. O/N Hotel at Kaza.

DAY 08: After breakfast excursion to Kee monastery and after that drive to Langza village at 4400 mtrs. Enroute, visit the Comik and Hikim village. O/N Hotel at Kaza.

DAY 09: Drive to Chandratal Lake (52 km) via Kunzam Pass (15,100ft) reach Baltal, change a vehicle to Sumo to proceed to Chandratal lake. On a way have a magnificent view of CB Ranges Peaks. This Deep Blue Water has a circumference of 2.5 km. Full day at Leisure to enjoy the beauty of the moon lake and Snow peaks. O/N Camping at Chandratal Lake.

DAY 10: Drive to Manali (122 km, 7-8 hours) You will be driving through the worst patch of road that you have ever encountered in your life. From Chandratal, reach back to Kunzum Pass, and then head towards Batal. At Batal, you will take the road towards Gramphoo and then start on your ascent to second high altitude pass of the journey, Rohtang La. From there, it is a straight run to Manali. Check in hotel at Manali and Overnight at Manali hotel.

DAY 11: After breakfast check out from hotel. Free time for shopping/leisure. Depart for Delhi in the evening by Volvo or similar Bus.

DAY 12: Arrive Delhi in the morning and Shift to Hotel for freshen up (Please note that No Extra Bed will be provided). Depart for Ahmedabad by train.

DAY 13: Arrive Ahmedabad in the morning.

Shimla: 1 night
Sangla: 2 nights
Kalpa: 1 night
Tabo: 1 night
Kaza: 2 nightS
Chandratal: 1 night
Manali: 1 night

Jeep: Scorpio/Tavera or similar (6 pax + driver in one jeep).

• Please note that this is a tentative schedule and may change as per the operational feasibility.
• Final travel schedule will be ready 2 days before the departure. The route may change on the last moment if the weather conditions are not favourable.
• If the trip gets abandoned after departure due to unfavourable weather conditions or due to any unforeseen reasons, no refund will be given.

Charges:
3 AC Train Journey (Regular Coach)

Rs. 47,000/- on Three Sharing basis per person (6 person per Jeep)
Rs. 50,250/- on Twin Sharing basis per person (6 person per Jeep)

Rs. 7000/- extra per person for 4 in a Jeep.
Rs. 3500/- extra per person for 5 in a Jeep.

Our Fee: is inclusive of accommodation, travelling from Ahmedabad ( by different modes), food, service charges and service tax. All the charges are per person.

Registration: Please fill up the registration form and pay an advance of Rs. 12500/- for 3 Ac train journey to confirm your booking. The balance payment should reach our office at least 30 days before the commencement of the journey. Reservation is done on first come first served basis. Railway reservation will depend on the avalability of tickets.

Cheques or DD should be in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED payable at Vadodara only.

Package Cost Includes:
  • All meals during the tour (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
  • Transfers & sightseeing as mentioned in the itinerary by Non-A/c Vehicle.
  • Accommodation in Decent Hotels/Resorts.
  • Assistance on arrival.

Package Cost Does Not Include:

  • Any meals other than those mentioned above.
  • Any Hotel tips, Room Service, Laundry, Mineral water, Telephone charges and all items of personal nature and meals and drinks not specified in the inclusions.
  • Any services not specifically mentioned in the inclusions.
  • Camera fees wherever applicable.
  • Ropeway/Boating charges wherever applicable.
  • In case if any sight seeing place is cancelled or rescheduled, due to any unforeseen reasons, no refund will be given for that.
Terms & Conditions for Tours:
  • Jain food will be provided on demand as per availability.
  • The amount once paid is non transferable.
  • The balance payment is to be paid atleast 30 days before the departure of the batch. If balance payment is not made on time it would automatically be considered cancelled without any prior intimation and no refund would be given in this regard.
  • Local Cheque/Demand Draft should be issued in favour of  OUTDOORS UNLIMITED payable at Vadodara. 
  • Outstation cheque would not be accepted.
  • Payment against dishonored cheque/s to be paid in cash with additional charge of Rs.200/- per cheque.
  • No refund will be given in case the participant terminates the tour at any point due to any reason.
  • According to the strength of the group proper vehicle would be arranged and that should be acceptable to all.
  • Participants will have to walk to visit the places that are near to the hotel or where our vehicle cannot reach.
  • Please do not bring valuables in the tour. It will be participants’ duty to take care of their own luggage. Company is not liable for any kind of theft, loss or damage to your luggage.
  • At any point during the tour if any damage is done to the hotel property or bus or at any other point knowingly or unknowingly by any participant the responsible participant will have to bear the total damage charges and will have to settle it on the spot.
  • Tour may be cancelled if there is not enough strength, actual amount paid by the participant towards the trip will be refunded by A/c payee cheque only. No other claims will be entertained.
  • It is the responsibility of participant to collect the necessary travel documents from our office on time.
  • The organisers or any individual connected with it will not be held responsible in case of any accident or any unforeseen calamity.
  • The Company reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking/terminate a participant on tour in event of unreasonable behaviour at any time.
  • The Company has the right at any time and for any reason to amend, alter, vary or withdraw/substitute a hotel, travel arrangement or independent contractor for the reasons, which may be deemed fit and proper by the Company. The participants shall have no rights to raise any dispute regarding the same.
  • In case if the tour days increases due to any unforeseen circumstances, the participants will have to pay Rs.700/- per head per day in cash to the tour manager.
  • Outdoors Unlimited has the right to use the participant's name, information and photographs in promotional materials, brochures and press releases.
  • In case if any rescue operation is to be undertaken, it will be charged from the participants on actual basis.
  • In case if the tour is cancelled or abandoned due to any unforeseen circumstances, no refund would be given.
  • Organisers will not be responsible towards any internal disputes arising with fellow participants.
  • Any claim or complaint by the participant must be notified to the Company in writing within ten days after the tour completion date. No claim notified to the Company outside this period will be entertained and the Company shall incur no liability in respect thereof.
  • If the participant has any complaint in respect of services provided by any of the independent contractors, the participant shall immediately notify the same to the independent contractor and a copy thereof should be handed over to the tour manager, to enable the Company to take up the matter with the independent contractor.
  • The signing of the booking form by the participant shall mean acceptance in totality of the ‘Terms and Conditions’ contained herein by the participant. In case of one or more, but not all participant signing the ‘Booking Form’, it shall be deemed that the others have duly authorized the concerned signing participant.
  • Disputes, if any, will be subject to jurisdiction of Vadodara courts only.

Disclaimer: While all care will be taken for the safety of the participants, OUTDOORS UNLIMITED, or any individual connected to it would not be held responsible for any accident or any unforeseen incident. Participants will have to look after their luggage throughout the journey as well as during the camp/tour. Doctor’s certificate would be required if the participant is undergoing any medical treatment, is over-weight or above 60 years.
OUTDOORS UNLIMITED reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking/terminate a participant during the camp/eco-tour in event of unreasonable behaviour in such cases no refund will be given.
Reporting
  • Please mark your attendance with the Group Leader as per mentioned time and date given in the Final itinerary.
  • Do not board the Train/Bus without Reporting.
Journey
  • Ahmedabad - Delhi - Ahmedabad would be by train.
  • Delhi to Shimla and Manali to Delhi would be by Volvo Bus. Rest of the journey would be by Jeeps.
Accommodation
  • Would be in decent hotel.
  • Would be in tents at Sangla and Chandratal.
Food
  • Wholesome & Hygienic vegetarian Food will be served, including Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
  • In train, we generally provide the Train Food.
  • Two bottles of drinking water per day will be provided during the train journey.
  • Special Jain / Swaminarayan food is also served if mentioned in the application form.
Weather
  • Could be very cold specially on Passes. It is advisable to carry Heavy woolens.
Emergency
  • In case of an emergency, Parents may contact us on 09662299016/21 (08 pm to 10:30 am.)
  • First – Aid kit will be available with the group leader throughout the programme.
Photographs
  • We cannot do the photography for you but the participants are encouraged to bring their own cameras if they can take care of the same.

  • A list of things to be carried is given in the final itinerary. Bring all the things accordingly.

Please Note
  • The participants may have to pay the fine, wherever applicable in the absence of original Photo ID.
  • Though proper care of the entire luggage is taken, we will not be responsible for any lost or damaged items.
