Kedarkantha, situated in the Tons river valley of the Garhwal Himalayas is a beautiful ridge peak, easily accessible anytime of the year. The trek goes through the Govind National Park and gives you ample time to soak in the flora and fauna of this protected area. The summit lies at an altitude of 3850 m and reaching the top is very satisfying as you are rewarded with views of peaks like the Swargarohini, Banderpooch, Kalanag and Ranglana. The cycling trip from Sankri to Mori takes you through some beautiful scenery, along trails that snake along the Tons River.

Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Sankri, Trek to Juda Talaab
We will start early and drive to the beautiful village of Sankri. Post lunch, we will start on a 4 km trek to our campsite at Juda Talab. The trail spreads through the Saud village and is a gentle climb through pine forests and maple trees. Dinner and overnight stay in tents by the lake.

Day 2: Trek to Kedarkantha Base Camp
Today we trek 7 km from Juda Talab to the Kedarkantha base Camp. The trail leads through pine and oak trees and opens out onto a sprawling meadow below the Kedarkantha summit. Gorgeous views of snow capped ranges can be enjoyed from here.

Day 3: Trek to Kedarkantha Peak (3850 m) & back to Sankri
We will start early today for the 3 km ascent to the Kedarkantha top. The views are breath-taking from here especially towards Himachal.Later, we will descend 15 km to Sankri. Overnight at guest house.

Day 4: Cycle to Mori, Visit to Hanol Temple
Today, we will cycle 22 km to Mori. We will have a 1 hour practice session, to get used to the cycle, before departure to Mori. The 22 km stretch to Mori will be a downhill journey. The first 10 kms will be through mud roads and later a leveled tar road will follow. We'll even visit the ancient Hanol temple, dedicated to MahasuDevta, 14 km away. Overnight in camps by the river.

Day 5: SANKRI TO DEHRADUN (210kms)
Today is the final day of the trip. We will start early and drop you off at Dehradun.

Registration:
Please fill up the registration form and pay an advance of Rs.8500/- to confirm your booking. The balance payment should reach our office at least 20 days before the commencement of the journey. Reservation is done on first come first served basis.

*Professional guide (trained from Nehru Institute of Mountaineering, Uttarkashi) and kitchen staff would accompany the group.

*Porter/mules for client baggage (not personal bags)

Camping equipment: (3/4 season Mountain Hardwear or Lafuma alpine tents, Sleeping bags, Camping Mattresses, Camping stools, Mess tent, Toilet tent & Basic Medical kit)

Cancellation Charges:
30 days and more : 90 % refund of payment
15 to 30 days : 40% refund of payment
Less than 14 days : No refund

* Cancellation charges will be applicable on total Program cost.
* Please note that the booking is not transferable.
* Please bring original receipt for claiming the refund.

  • Jain food will be provided on demand as per availability .
  •   The amount once paid is non transferable.
  •  The balance payment is to be paid atleast 20 days before the departure of the batch. If balance payment is not made on time it would automatically be considered cancelled without any prior intimation and no refund would be given in this regard.
  •  Local Cheque/Demand Draft should be issued in favour of OUTDOORS UNLIMITED
  • Outstation cheque would not be accepted.
  •  Payment against dishonored cheque/s to be paid in cash with additional charge of Rs.200/- per cheque.
  •   No refund will be given in case the participant terminates the programme at any point due to any reason.
  •   According to the strength of the group proper vehicle would be arranged and that should be acceptable to all.
  •  Participants will have to walk to visit the places that are near to the hotel or where our vehicle cannot reach.
  •  Please do not bring valuables in the programme. It will be participant's duty to take care of their own luggage. Company is not liable for any kind of theft, loss or damage to your luggage.
  •  At any point during the programme if any damage is done to the hotel property or bus or at any other point knowingly or unknowingly by any participant the responsible participant will have to bear the total damage charges and will have to settle it on the spot.
  • In case of the cancellation of the programme, actual amount paid by the participant towards the trip will be refunded by A/c payee cheque only. No other claims will be entertained.
  • It is the responsibility of participant to collect the necessary travel documents from our office on time.
  • The organisers or any individual connected with it will not be held responsible in case of any accident or any unforeseen calamity.
  •  The Company reserves the unconditional right to refuse a booking/terminate a passenger on programme in event of unreasonable behaviour at any time.
  • The Company has the right at any time and for any reason to amend, alter, vary or withdraw/substitute a hotel, travel arrangement or independent contractor for the reasons, which may be deemed fit and proper by the Company. The passengers shall have no rights to raise any dispute regarding the same.
  •  In case if the programme days increases due to any unforeseen circumstances, the participants will have to pay Rs.900/- per head per day in cash to the programme manager.
  • Outdoors Unlimited has the right to use the participant's name, information and photographs in promotional materials, brochures and press releases.
  • In case if any rescue operation is to be undertaken, it will be charged from the participants on actual basis.
  • In case if the programme is cancelled or abandoned due to any unforeseen circumstances, no refund would be given.
  • Organisers will not be responsible towards any internal disputes arising with fellow participants.
  • Any claim or complaint by the passenger must be notified to the Company in writing within ten days after the programme completion date. No claim notified to the Company outside this period will be entertained and the Company shall incur no liability in respect thereof.
  • If the passenger has any complaint in respect of services provided by any of the independent contractors, the passenger shall immediately notify the same to the independent contractor and a copy thereof should be handed over to the programme manager, to enable the Company to take up the matter with the independent contractor.
  • The signing of the booking form by the passengers shall mean acceptance in totality of the ‘Terms and Conditions’ contained herein by the passengers.
  • In case of one or more, but not all passengers signing the ‘Booking Form’, it shall be deemed that the others have duly authorized the concerned signing passenger.
  • Disputes, if any, will be subject to jurisdiction of VADODARA courts only.
